This is Luke. He’s awesome. He’s happy. He’s sweet. He’s chunky. He’s a blessing. Love everything about his little simple self.

Do you have a baby or little ones? Well, for you mamas out there…. do you remember those times that your baby was so very happy that when he or she smiled, it wasn’t even a smile, it was just a big open mouth? Sometimes so big that his tongue got in the way? Sometimes so big that he’d lose his balance and fall backward because he was smiling so big and for some reason when they smile big, they smile up? Right? :) Well, here are some of those smiles. Like I said…. Luke is Awesome, with a capital A. :)

We had a photography workshop last week where some sweet ladies came over and brought their fancy cameras. We all sat down and put them on manual and learned, played, and shot all day.

Oh, Ella, you are so beautiful already and growing up so fast. I’ve been blessed to be able to photograph this little miss a few times already. Here she is as a fresh little newborn babe in the hospital, then again at about 6 days old, and at about 6 months old. Now she’s such a big girl at one year old already. She’s a sweetie, that’s for sure. Thank you Dibuduo family. It has been a blessing getting to know your little family. You are wonderful people all the way around. :)

Seriously, how adorable is she? I know, she was just as sweet too. :)
I love taking pictures in urban settings like downtown Fresno. Love it. So much fun stuff!

Saturday we had another little workshop where I help some lovely people learn how to use their fancy cameras…. but NOT on auto… on MANUAL. :) Yay for manual camera functions. We had some sweet little models. Here are a few pictures from our workshop and our time together. Meet little miss London and little mister Ryder. They are the sweetest. I had the privilege of taking little Ryder’s pictures a few months ago, I think he was about four months old. Now he’s a big boy sitting up and all. Big sister London is awesome at taking care of her little brother.

I love all these little people. These are all the little cousins on my side of the family. What a precious thing to be able to grow up playing with your cousins. They also have the best Nana in the world (my mom…she’s amazing). Nana, these pictures are for you, your grandkids in your backyard. We love you. Hope you enjoy! :)

And in case you wondered…. these kiddos were some of the most difficult to photograph. Because… there are 6 of them and because they’re my kids, nieces, and nephews and that’s just how it goes. We sweated for these, made tons of silly noises and faces, ran around, and bribed with popsicles. These images are far from perfect, but they capture life at this stage and I love that.

yesterday’s workshop

We had another little workshop where I helped some lovely people learn how to use their fancy cameras on manual…. not on auto!! YAY! During our time learning about our cameras, we do little photo shoots so we can practice what we’re learning. I’m a “do-er”. I learn SO much better if I talk about it, touch the camera, and then actually DO it. So that’s how I teach these things. Only two more workshops this summer, then no more til 2011. One is already full, but there’s still some room in the one on Wednesday, August 18th. Sign up here.

Well, these were our lovely little models. Aren’t they so precious? This is Charlotte. She’s five months old and as sweet and smiley as ever.

This is Bella. She’s the fabulous big sister at two years old.

And this is Jackson. He’s the big brother and as sweet as can be.
