World, meet Wyatt. He’s a precious little soul.

This is gorgeous little baby Lila. Isn’t she a beautiful, fresh new baby? Love her dark new hair, her perfect baby skin, her gorgeous lipstick lips. Love it.

Friday… what a week…we started kindergarten for the first time. Here are my favorites from this week:

• Seeing my little Kyle and his excitement for his first day of kindergarten… awesome!
• Making yummy chocolate peanut butter cookies with my little boys. Deeelish!
• Eating the dough from the chocolate peanut butter cookies. Mmm, mmm (the dough’s the best part you know)
• My husband. He’s an amazing, awesome man. I am so grateful to be attached to him.

Not so faves (I know, should be positive, but really…)

• Getting up and getting my kids out of the house for school, every day. Really? It just keeps going every day? Really? Even if my kids are tired. Hmmm…. this is new.
• The super duper heat. Not a fan.

Just blogged this one yesterday, but I love the sweet excitement from the big sisters. So precious…

World, this is Bennet. Bennet…..world. I’m loving the little chunky rolls that appear when I squish this baby boy all together into a ball. Lovely. And I think this little man is going to be well taken care of by his two big sisters. Right? :)

Sometimes people ask me, “Do the babies you photograph always sleep?” No. They don’t. Most of the time they do (and me and the mamas work hard for that sleep), but every once in a while, they don’t quite feel like sleeping. And that’s life. And they’re still beautiful little amazing babies, they just happen to be awake. This is Nathan Finn. He slept for a teeny tiny bit at the beginning of our shoot (thank you for that nathan). And then he chose to be a part of what we were doing. It’s okay little buddy, you’re still awesome!

You can see in the last picture, it’s not that he wasn’t tired (…big yawn), he just wanted to be a part of things. :)

World, meet Dennis and Sosi. Oh 6 day old newborn twin babies… What a privilege it was to photograph them. Twins don’t come along quite as often for me to photograph so I was really excited to play with these little ones and try some new poses and things. I love how Dennis appears to be already taking care of his twin sister, Sosi, in these images.

Someone who loved these little twins before they were even born knitted them some little newborn hats. I love it so much with the mommy has some cute little baby hats that she brings with her to their photo shoot. That way they’re unique to you and your baby.

Oh and baby feet… there’s something special about all those tiny toes. Look at the perfection that comes with 10 little tiny toes. I even love the little peely skin. It’s a reminder of just how fresh they are to the world. What a blessing…

This is little Blaine. He was three weeks old when we photographed him. Three weeks old is a bit of a risky age to photograph a newborn as they are a little more awake to the world and not quite as moldable. But little Blaine proved that wrong. He slept, and smiled, and slept and smiled. He did fantastic. And look at his awesome hair. Impressive isn’t it?

I also love it when the mama’s are prepared with their own little newborn hat and diaper cover set. It’s so fun to use something different. Love it! Thanks Crystal!

Great busy week. Some of my favorites from this week…

• jet skiing at the lake with my family. My little boys loved it. I loved it. Great day.
• a wonderful midweek workshop teaching some lovely ladies how to use their cameras on manual. So fun. More info on bruises and bandaids blog.
• making sock puppets with my boys. End of summer…we have to change it up a bit. :) Super fun with curly ribbon hair, and daddy’s socks, and wiggly eyeballs. :)
• a nonfat caramel macchiato… enjoying one right now. Happy friday!

Oh baby Lila, how beautiful you are…

This is little baby Cameron at just two weeks old. He’s such a tiny little thing and really such a beautiful little boy.
