Little brothers. Little boys. Awesomeness.

the simpson family

I had the privilege of meeting this sweet family at a wedding I photographed in Cabo San Lucas last September (that was a super fun wedding!). They drove from the bay area, thanks Linda, you guys are awesome! It was a pleasure to spend a little bit of time with your sweet family.

the alcorn family

Meet the Alcorn family. Two sweet little girls… one of them a very brand new addition. It was a pleasure Alcorn family. Thank you.

the fisher boys

I’ve had the opportunity to photograph this family and these little boys a few times now… and I love it! :) This photo shoot was in honor of little Mr. Nash and the fact that he is now a standing up walking one year old. The best times (in my opinion) to photograph your little one during their first year is based on their abilities more than their ages. I recommend doing their photo shoots during these times:

1 – during their first 5-10 days of life, while they’re sleepy, bendable, and not full of baby acne.
2 – when they can push their head & chest up off the ground while laying on their tummy (usually around 4 months, but depends on the child)
3 – when they can sit up on their own (usually between 6 and 9 months)
4 – when they can stand confidently on their own (usually between 12 months and 14 months, depends on the child though)

Thank you Fisher family. You guys are awesome!

my most difficult subjects

Yes, they are my most difficult photography subjects… my own little boys. :) Is it my own fault? Do I take too many pictures of them? Maybe. It’s possible. Who knows. Who cares. I happen to love pictures of people that I love. And so…here’s a little photo shoot of my two little men. At almost 4 and almost 6 (this summer) these are my little boys.

And how do I get them to go on a photo shoot with me? Well first of all, it’s not called a photo shoot. We go “exploring” and I take pictures while were there. This time we filled a suitcase with “treasures”.  And we definitely finish it off with Yodiggity frozen yogurt. :)

katie, high school senior

This is Katie. She’s going to be a star. I’m serious. She already has albums and has sung in Carnegie Hall and is being paid to go to college. You see? When she comes to pick up her prints I’m going to make her sign (autograph) something. :)  She’s going to be an amazing Opera singer. Katie, you’re well on your way already. I’m impressed. You’re beautiful inside and out…and apparently, quite talented. It was a pleasure…

brothers

Meet Griffin and Owen. These little guys are so sweet. The littlest Mister may have been a little shy and attached to mommy and his uncle, but we still got some sweet ones out of him. Look at how this big brother takes care of his little brother with his arm around him and all. Presh-ous! I always melt a little when I see a big brother tenderly watch out for his little brother. I guess it comes from my deep desire for my own little boys to look out for each other and grow up as buddies. Brianne, your little guys are sweet ones…

jess and her girls…

This is my sweet friend Jessica from high school. And these are her fabulous girls. It’s always so fun to see you girls. I’ll take any excuse I can get. Pictures…that works! Thanks girls. You were so fun!

shelby, high school senior

This is Shelby. And from what I gathered she is just as sweet and smart as she is beautiful. Watch out world…

sherfield family

This is the Sherfield family. They’re pretty much awesome. Josh is a fantastic photographer, but always the one behind the camera. So, we had to get a few of him with his two sweet girls. And this little Miss Kenna, just gets me. I just want to squeeze her. She’s adorable!
